Privacy

What we hold, why, and how to get it back.

We hold as little about you as the service needs, and we do not sell any of it.

What we collect

When you subscribe: your name, your station’s name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and your website address. Your password is stored as a hash and cannot be read back, by us or by anybody else.

When you use the service: the material you send us for writing, the content we publish for you, and a log of deliveries so we can show you what was published.

When you contact us: whatever you put in the form.

Card details

Card numbers never reach our servers. Payment is handled by Stripe, and the card field on our signup page belongs to Stripe rather than to us. We store an identifier that lets us bill the right customer, and the last four digits so you can tell which card is on file.

Your website

The plugin on your site talks to us to fetch content and to report what it published. It sends your site’s address, the plugin’s version, and the outcome of each delivery. It does not send us your visitors’ data, your other posts, or anything about who reads your site.

Who else sees it

Stripe, for payments. Our email provider, to send you account messages. Our hosting provider, which stores the database. Our writers and editors see the material you send us, because writing it is the service.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

Account and billing records stay for seven years, because tax rules require it. Delivery logs stay for two years. Material you send us is kept while you are a customer and for a year after, in case you ask what happened to something.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. Ask through the contact form and we will do it within thirty days. Deleting your account does not remove content already published to your own website, because that content is yours.

Cookies

This site sets a session cookie when you sign in to your account, and remembers whether you chose the light or dark colour scheme. Neither is used for advertising and neither tracks you across other sites.
